Fall season 2023

The Tomball Kings will field fall-season 2023 baseball teams in the junior high, 12U, 10U, and 8U divisions.

The junior high and 12U divisions will offer opportunities for league play in the Spring Klein Baseball League.

The 10U and 8U divisions will offer opportunities for league play at The Farm League.

The high school division offers off-season-training programs only in the fall. We encourage our high school baseball players to play tournament baseball or other sports during the fall.

Please see our baseball programs guide for more complete information concerning our age divisions and seasonal priorities for each division.

Eligibility

Participation on all Kings rosters for the Fall 2023 season is by invitation only. Maintenance of eligibility requires compliance with Tomball Kings program rules.

Players must be homeschooled in order to be on a Tomball Kings roster. Non-roster programs, such as classes and camps, may be open enrollment, subject to student compliance with Tomball Kings rules. Please read our eligibility guide for more complete information on eligibility for Tomball Kings game rosters.

Registration

All players who receive and accept a roster invitation for a Tomball Kings Fall 2023 team should compete our Player Information Form and any related registration requirements.

Fall calendar

Our teams do not have traditional practices in the fall to allow players time for tournament baseball or playing other sports. Playing fall baseball with the Tomball Kings is nonetheless a significant time commitment that requires accommodation of schedule changes due to inclement weather. We always schedule as far in advance as possible and promptly inform players of any schedule changes.

We operate in a youth and interscholastic baseball market that is among the most competitive anywhere. We expect junior high and 12U players to be available to play Monday through Saturday from the beginning to the end of the season. Players of 10U and 8U ages may have games on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sunday afternoons after 1:30 PM, as well  as the possibility of a Sunday morning playoff game at the end of the season.

We require players to participate in every game, except when excused for injury, illness, or other reasons at the discretion of the director of baseball operations.

Please note that additional fees may apply for players late with their uniform orders. Participation in all Tomball Kings activities is subject to timely payment of applicable fees.

While not provided through the Kings program, players should also budget for baseball pants, belt, socks, and possibly stirrups, as set forth in the Tomball Kings uniform standards; a baseball glove; a regulation baseball bat; sliding shorts with protective cup; batting helmet of royal-blue color; turf shoes and cleats or spikes in Kings colors or black; sunglasses; and, batting gloves if desired. Catchers must provide their own properly-fitted gear and mit, with throat protector affixed to the mask. Recommended safety equipment includes a mouthguard, heartguard, and C-Flap for the batting helmet. By rule, high school players must use a helmet with a C-Flap.

High school players will need white game pants with blue piping. Junior high and younger players will wear white game pants. Game pants may be knickers or full length; for players that choose knickers, colors for stirrups or socks are set forth in the uniform standards.

10U and 8U players will need to purchase an inexpensive practice shirt or jersey of royal blue color. Team coaches will coordinate.

💡
Bats and gloves in particular can be expensive items and must be a good fit for the player. Kings coaches are happy to advise on such items, prior to purchase.
