Spring 2020 varsity practice schedule and field assignments

The Tomball Kings are pleased to announce their spring 2020 varsity practice schedule and field assignments at the Premier Baseball of Texas Sports Complex in Tomball.

First practice

Spring practices begin Monday, February 3, 2020 at 3:45 PM on Field 7 at Premier. At present, the last scheduled practice day is Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Season end

We remind all varsity players that they should be available to practice and play well into May, should we find it necessary to extend the season for weather or other baseball-related reasons. Under the current schedule, however, our spring season will end on Friday, May 1, 2020 with a contest against a formidable Houston Waltrip squad that should be prepping for a UIL 5A playoff run.

We will always post any schedule changes as soon as we are aware of them.

No spring break

As is the custom with high school baseball in Texas, we practice and play during spring break.

Regular practice days and times

Our regular practice days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week. Practices commence at 3:45 PM and conclude at 5:30 PM. As always in baseball, “if you’re early, you’re on time; if you’re on time, you’re late.”

Practice field assignments

Our Monday practices will generally be on Field 7 at Premier — the same field we used for fall training. Wednesday and Thursday practices will generally be on Field 6, which is on the front left of the main quad. Please refer to the Premier field map for orientation to the facility.
