How to size a Tomball Kings baseball cap
The Tomball Kings source custom-designed baseball caps from Springfield, Oregon-based Richardson Sports, Inc. (“Richardson”). This guide will help players choose the best fit for their caps.
What you will need: Use a flexible, non-stretchable measuring tape for a measurement, and ask a family member or friend to help you.
Measuring method: You will measure the circumference of your head at the widest point the flex band of your cap will need to pass in order for it to fit your head comfortably and securely. The cap will typically rest just a tad above the top of your ears and about an inch above the bridge of your nose, so measuring through those points is a good, first approximation. Adjust the location of the tape to get the longest circumference in that vicinity that would still provide a secure, comfortable fit.
Write down the circumference you just measured. Then refer to this chart:
Head circumference (in) | Hat size (US) | Hat size designation |
---|---|---|
20 – 20 3/4 | 6 3/8 – 6 5/8 | Y |
20 3/8 – 21 5/8 | 6 5/8 – 7 | XS-SM |
21 5/8 – 22 3/4 | 7 – 7 1/4 | SM-MD |
22 3/4 – 23 7/8 | 7 3/8 – 7 5/8 | LG-XL |
If you need a larger cap than the above chart indicates, please let us know. We can custom-order a matching cap from a different source.
Choose a “hat size designation” as indicated. If your size as determined from the tape is at the border between two sizes, you may wish to choose the larger of the two sizes for a comfortable fit.
In any event, measure and choose your cap size carefully. The caps are custom-made for us and cannot be returned because of an erroneous size determination.
