Divisions
Tomball Kings high school
The Tomball Kings high school division serves players who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors in high school.
We offer players in our high school division opportunities for spring and fall baseball competition, along with year-round classes and other programs for training and skills development.
In the spring season, we field varsity and subvarsity teams for interscholastic competition with public and private high schools in the Greater Houston area. In the fall, if consistent with player development needs, we field 18U teams for local, league play.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, in order to be age-eligible for interscholastic competition in the Spring 2023 season, the player must be eighteen years of age or younger as of September 1, 2021.
Spring is the primary season for our high school division, with practices typically commencing in the middle of January, games beginning in early February, and the season concluding by the end of May, barring extraordinary circumstances.
During the fall season, we enter 18U teams in league play, but do not practice, in order to allow players to devote time to other fall sports, baseball performance training, or other athletic activities.
All players on a high school roster, whether for spring or fall, receive roster invitations pursuant to a player evaluation (“tryout”) conducted by our coaches. We do not carry rosters forward from season to season. Prior to each season, we hold an open tryout that welcomes new and returning players to compete for available roster spots.
Please see our programs guide for additional information concerning our high school and other divisions. Please see our tryouts guide for upcoming tryout dates and helpful tryout information.
